Steve met Mellita on a sunny Sunday afternoon at Coogee Beach. Soon after, Steve was deployed as a Paratrooper to East Timor. During his time away their relationship grew from strength to strength. After leaving the Army, Steve popped the question to Mel and they started making plans to move back to Canberra, marry, and (as if that wasn’t enough to organise) launch a military-inspired boot camp.
