It’s getting hot in here
At the core of a tropical wedding paradise is a lush shade of green. So don’t hold back on big splashes of greenery when styling your reception – this should be the focal colour for a tropical wedding theme.
Balance the green with plenty of white, bamboo and shades of coral or yellow.
Huge palm fronds can be draped just about anywhere – on tables, in large vases, on your Mr & Mrs sign, and across walls. Large banana leaves can work as clever placemats or general decorations.
Ideally, a tropical theme works well in a warmer climate. If it’s summertime, provide your guests with handheld fans, shade umbrellas and sunscreen.
When the sun sets, light tiki torches and turn on the twinkly fairy lights.
Take me away
If you were visiting a tropical island, you’d expect to inhale the sweet scent of tropical flowers and fruits.
Use a mix of whole and cut coconut as part of your table centrepiece.
Include stunning hibiscus and frangipani flowers in your floral arrangements on tables and in drapery.
Get set
For your tables, consider the affordable 1.8m rectangular table draped in crisp white tablecloths, plus the classic Chiavari chair in white (with or without cushions).
Offer some more casual zones for conversation with Arrow bar stools in white and our bold Studio lounge in green.
A tropical theme isn’t complete without a bright fruit punch (with or without alcohol) in a dispenser or a huge platter of freshly cut watermelon, mango and pineapple.
